Within a few years of its arrival, immersive engineering made an excellent image globally. Even in 2015, it is voted as the best new mod by feedthebeast. In this post, we gonna talk about the water wheel immersive engineering.
Before going on water wheel immersive engineering let’s first talk about immersive engineering.
What is Immersive Engineering
Immersive Engineering is created by BluSunrize and Mr_Hazard. it is kind of mod that adds new Redstone Flux (known as RF) – based machinery with a retro-futuristic feeling to the game and many of the machines have a multiblock structure.
Is is basically a technique developed to made the games fully advanced with a retro look
Machines those used have either low, medium or high voltage with 256 RF/t being considered low, 1024 RF/ being considered medium and 4096 RF/t being considered high.
Now the current version of Immersive engineering is 1.8 which have its own power system Immersive Flux (IF). Which can convert to RF at 1:1 and function like RF.
But before the current 1.8 version, Immersive engineering wires also accept Industrial craft 2’s units. They can convert RF into the EU and also the vice-versa and allowing EU powered machines to work on RF.
Water Wheel Immersive Engineering
Water Wheel Immersive Engineering is a technique that added later to immersive engineering. It is used to get the RF (Redstone Flux) when connected to the front face of the kinetic dynamo.
Water wheel is the machine that converts the energy of the flowing water into some other useful source of energy like electrical or magnetic. And the same concept of the water wheel is applied in the Water Wheel Immersive Engineering.
It consists a wheel has numbers of blades and buckets or sections on it. It gains its movement through the flowing water. It needs that the water wheel is placed inside flowing water stream for the working. And the amount of energy generated through it is directly proportional to the flow of the water in the water stream.
Higher the flow of the water greater will be the output power. A water wheel can produce a maximum of 30RF/t which acquires due to flow of the water in a circular motion over the wheel and leads it to move.
Water wheels were still in commercial use back into the 20th century but they are no longer in common use in today’s world. Uses included in milling flour in gristmills, grinding wood into pulp for papermaking through machinery, hammering for raw iron, machining, ore crushing and pounding fibre for the cloth.
